If you are doing more specific or complicated research, try using Advanced Search.
Below is the Advanced Search page. You can use the radio buttons at the top to change collections and add additional search lines. Click on Simple Search to hide the Advanced Search options and return to the Basic Search.
Using Advanced Search will give you more search options, such as:
Field Specific: The default search is keyword, but you can also choose Title, Author/Contributor, Subject, or ISBN.
Type of Material: The default search is All Items, but you can limit by item type.
In addition you can limit by language and publication date.
