West Valley College students, faculty and staff members now have free access to Wall Street Journal website and app. The WVC Library has a subscription that gives members of the WVC community full access to the content on the WSJ.com website. Users can also use their mobile devices to access the Wall Street Journal.

How Can I Access This Database?

Location Off-CampusThis WVC Library subscription database is available off-campus, but you will need to sign up for an account. You will need to initiate SSO to gain access to an account sign up. Once your account is set-up, you no longer need to WVC Library link to access your account.

FAQs

If I am currently paying for a membership, how do I take advantage of the school-sponsored version?
After the personal account is closed, users will be able to activate their school-sponsored membership by going to WSJ.com/edu and searching for their school’s name.

What does the WSJ membership include?
The WSJ membership includes unlimited digital access to WSJ.com and the WSJ apps. Members can also access curated newsletters, podcasts and exclusive events/offers through WSJ+.

Creating Your Account

1. Complete the Create Account form. Strart with selecting whether you are a student, staff, or faculty member from the dropdown.

2. Fill out the form with your information.

3. Use your West Valley College email address and create a password.  The email address and password will allow access on other devices outside of the WVC network.

4. Click "Create". You will see a confirmation screen if you have registered successfully. A confirmation email will also be sent to you. Verify your account by following the directions in the email that has been sent to you.

WSJ Apps are available for iOS and Android to take your subscription with you wherever you are. To download the free apps, visit https://platforms.wsj.com/.

Once you have activated your account, you can log in right from WSJ.com.
