15 Minute Cities: Welcome

15 Minute Cities and New Urbanism

The West Valley College Library Research Guide on 15 Minute Cities highlights books from the library collection, scholarly databases and articles, streaming media, and carefully selected free web resources to help students explore this emerging urban planning concept. The guide includes materials on walkability, access to essential services within neighborhoods, transportation alternatives, sustainability, equity in urban design, and case studies from cities around the world. It also connects users to tools and data sources useful for researching local and global planning initiatives. This list is not exhaustive and is a living document that will be updated as the West Valley College Library adds new resources or as valuable open web sources become available.
